Statistics

Go to Statistics. Pick an object at the top first, then a view.

Objects

  • Sites: statistics per site, with three views: Trend, Ranking and Logs.
  • Layer-4 forwarding: statistics per forward, with Trend and Ranking.
  • Nodes (administrators only): statistics per node, plus switch logs and unconfigured domains.

At top right you can choose the time range, and filter by scope (all, a user, a site).

Trend

How bandwidth, traffic, requests, status codes and hit ratio change over time. There are two hit ratios:

  • Request hit ratio = hit requests ÷ cacheable requests;
  • Byte hit ratio = hit request bytes ÷ cacheable request bytes.

Requests that didn't go through the cache (no cache rule, non-proxy requests and so on) are not counted. If the ratio is low, follow the advice in Cache rules.

Ranking

Ranks popular sites, URLs and sources by visits, traffic and so on. Good for finding the resources that use the most bandwidth.

Tip To see the details of one request, use the Logs view or the access logs.

About the numbers

The "NIC" figures on a node page are the real-time send and receive of the node's physical network card, including origin fetches, origin health checks and system traffic, so they are larger than the inbound and outbound computed from access logs. This is normal.

Caution Access logs are kept for a limited number of days, and trend details past that can't be seen. Export regularly if you need long-term records.
